Temporary Pause on EU Dispatches
If you've attempted to check out recently, you may have noticed that shipping to the EU is currently unavailable. We want to be completely transparent with you about why we’ve paused shipping, what’s happening behind the scenes, and what this means for the future of Sensored.
The Reality Behind the Scenes
As a small team, every single order leaving our warehouse is packed with care and attention to detail. However, international shipping compliance has recently become significantly more complex.
The European Union has introduced stricter packaging, recycling, and environmental compliance requirements under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and updated Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws across individual member states.
To meet these standard legal requirements, businesses must complete the following:
-
Packaging Material Audits: Ensuring all mailers, boxes, tape, and tissue paper meet new recyclability and chemical safety standards.
-
Local Registration & Fees: Registering, reporting, and contributing to recycling programs in individual EU countries.
-
Administrative Documentation: Completing formal declarations and technical paperwork to prove full environmental compliance.
While we fully support eco-friendly initiatives and sustainable practices, the administrative workload for an independent brand is extensive. Taking a brief step back allows us to handle this properly without disrupting our day-to-day operations.
Our Plan Moving Forward
Rather than risking customs delays, returned packages, or surprise import charges upon delivery, we chose to temporarily pause EU dispatches to ensure everything is set up correctly.
What we are doing during this pause:
Upgrading Packaging: Partnering with suppliers to ensure 100% compliant, eco-friendly, and recyclable packaging materials.
Establishing Systems: Completing official registrations and reporting setup so future orders pass through customs without issue.
Protecting Your Experience: Ensuring a seamless delivery process with no unexpected delays or fees upon arrival.
We are actively working through these requirements so we can resume shipping your favourite items safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with EU law.

Upcoming EU Import Changes (Flat Customs Duty)
Effective Date: July 1, 2026
If you are shopping from within the European Union, please note a new EU import rule taking effect on July 1, 2026.
To align regulations for cross-border e-commerce, the European Union is ending the duty-free exemption on packages valued under €150. Moving forward, a flat €3 customs duty will apply to low-value imports entering the EU based on product categories.
Here is how this will be handled for your orders:
1. Clear & Transparent Checkout
To prevent packages from being held at customs or subject to unexpected delivery fees, we calculate and collect applicable duties directly at checkout. The total displayed at checkout is final—no surprise charges at delivery.
2. Duty Calculation Rules
The EU applies this €3 duty per product category within an order rather than per package:
-
Same Item Category: Purchasing multiple items of the same category (e.g., two pairs of tights) incurs a single €3 duty charge.
-
Multiple Item Categories: Purchasing items from different categories (e.g., tights, lashes, and a bra) incurs a €3 fee per category (totaling €9 for three distinct categories).
3. Non-Refundable Duty Fees
Because duty fees are remitted directly to EU Customs authorities upon entry, the €3 duty fee per category is non-refundable in the event of an item return.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of an independent brand. We look forward to resuming EU deliveries as quickly as possible!
